Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your information

Everywhere Agents LLC built the Anywhere Agents apps as Commercial apps. This SERVICE is provided by Everywhere Agents LLC and is intended for use as is.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which is accessible at Anywhere Agents unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.

Apps Covered by This Policy

This policy covers both of our mobile apps and the website at anywhereagents.net. Anywhere Agents is the app used by Clients, who post jobs and hire Agents. AW Agent is the app used by Agents, who offer professional services and accept jobs. Where a section below applies to only one of the two apps, it says so.

Information Collection and Use

Account information: when you create an account we collect your first and last name, email address, phone number with country code, and gender. You may also add a profile photo and a short description of yourself.

Location: we collect your device location as a latitude and longitude, together with your city, state, and country, in order to match Agents with nearby jobs, to show job locations, and to display service areas.

Postal address: you may provide a postal address, including street, city, state, country, and postal code.

Identifiers: we assign your account a user ID, and we process a device push token so that we can deliver notifications to your device.

Job and message content: we store the jobs you post or accept, the messages you exchange through the app, any photographs or documents you attach to a job, and the ratings and reviews you leave for the other party.

Usage information: we record your activity in the app, such as the jobs you view, save, or apply for, so that the Service can function and so that we can improve it.

Agent Verification and Tax Information

This section applies to Agents using the AW Agent app.

Government identifiers: in order to verify your identity and to meet our tax and anti-fraud obligations, we ask you to provide either a Social Security Number (SSN) or a Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN). You provide one or the other, not both.

Identity documents: we ask you to upload an identity document, such as a Driving License or a State Issued ID Card, as an image or a PDF file. We store these documents on our own file storage and use them only to verify your identity.

Identity verification provider: identity verification may also be carried out through Persona, an identity verification service. When you verify your identity this way, you provide your identity details and a photograph of your identity document directly to Persona through a verification screen shown in the app. Persona checks your identity and returns the result to us. The information you submit in Persona's screen is handled by Persona under its own privacy policy.

Payout details: you may provide a PayPal email address, and you may complete the Stripe onboarding process so that you can be paid. Stripe collects the bank and identity information for that process directly in its own screens, under its own privacy policy, and we do not see what you enter there.

Professional details: we collect the skills, languages, service categories, availability, and hourly or fixed rates that you choose to publish on your Agent profile.

How We Handle Payment Information

This section applies to Clients using the Anywhere Agents app.

When you add a payment card to your account, you enter the card number, expiry date, and security code into a form inside our app. Those details are sent over an encrypted connection to our servers, and our servers pass them to Stripe, which creates and stores the payment method. We do not keep your full card number or security code in your account record. What we keep is the payment method identifier that Stripe returns to us, together with the card brand, the expiry date, and the last four digits, so that we can show you which card is saved.

Some payments and subscription charges are taken through the Stripe payment screen. Where that happens, your card details are collected by Stripe directly and are not sent through our servers.

Purchase history: we keep a record of the jobs you have paid for, together with the related invoices and any subscription that you hold.

Device Permissions and the Data We Collect

The Anywhere Agents apps request the following permissions. Each is used only for the purpose described, and each can be refused, though some features will not work without them.

Location (precise and approximate): used to match Agents with nearby jobs, to show job locations, and to display service areas. In the Anywhere Agents app, and in the AW Agent app on Android, location is collected only while the app is open and in use, and not when the app is closed or in the background. In the AW Agent app on iOS, an Agent who is working on a job may also share location while the app is in the background, so that the Client can follow their progress to the job. iOS shows an indicator while this is happening, it applies only to an active job, and it stops when the job ends.

Camera and Photos: used so you can set a profile picture, attach photographs or documents to a job, take part in video calls, and, in the AW Agent app, upload an identity document.

Microphone: used for voice and video calls between Clients and Agents in connection with a job. Call audio and video are transmitted in real time between the participants and are not recorded or stored by us.

Notifications: used to alert you to new jobs, messages, and incoming calls, and to show an incoming call screen when a call arrives. To deliver these we process a device push token through One Signal.

In-app messages: messages you send through the app are stored on our servers so that your conversation history is available to you and to the other party to the job.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

With the other party to a job: when you take part in a job, the information needed to carry out that job, such as your name, profile photo, service area, ratings, and the means to message or call you, is made visible to the other party to that job. Your Social Security Number, Taxpayer Identification Number, identity documents, and payment details are never shown to the other party.

With service providers: we share information with the companies listed below. They process it on our behalf, under contract, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Stripe: receives payment card details in order to create and charge a payment method, and receives the identity and bank information that Agents enter into the Stripe onboarding screens in order to make payouts.

Persona: receives the identity information and identity document image that Agents submit through its verification screen, in order to verify an Agent's identity and return the verification result to us.

Twilio: receives your phone number in order to send you the one time code that verifies your number when you register or sign in.

One Signal: receives your device push token in order to deliver notifications to your device.

Google Analytics for Firebase: receives app open events, device and app version information, and on Android the advertising identifier, in order to measure installs and app openings for our apps.

Google Maps Platform: receives location coordinates and place searches in order to display maps, resolve addresses, and suggest places.

Their privacy policies are published on their own websites: Stripe, Persona, Twilio, One Signal, Google Maps Platform, and Google, which publishes the policy covering Google Analytics for Firebase. Our apps are distributed through Google Play Services, which is subject to the Google privacy policy.

For legal and safety reasons: we share information where we are required to do so by law, and where it is necessary in order to investigate fraud or to protect the safety of our users.

Where Your Information Is Stored

Account records, job records, and messages are stored on servers that we control. Profile photos, job attachments, and identity documents are stored on our own file storage service. Information is transmitted between your device and our servers over encrypted connections.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time, and we will delete your personal information when you do.

To delete your account from inside the app, open Profile and select Delete Account. To request deletion from the web, use https://anywhereagents.net/accountdeletion.

We complete deletion requests within 30 days. We may retain a limited record of completed transactions where we are required to do so for tax, accounting, or legal purposes, and we retain no more than is necessary for that purpose.

Log Data

Whenever you use our Service, our servers record technical log data. This log data may include your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics. We use this data in order to diagnose errors and to keep the Service secure.

We use Google Analytics for Firebase in our apps. It records when an app is opened, together with basic technical information such as the device model, operating system version, and app version, and on Android it also uses the Android advertising identifier. We use this to measure how many people install and open our apps, including installs that result from our advertising. We do not use it to build advertising profiles about you, and we do not sell it. We do not use a crash reporting product in our apps. On Android you can reset or delete the advertising identifier at any time in your device settings.

Cookies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device's internal memory.

This Service does not use these “cookies” explicitly. However, the app may use third party code and libraries that use “cookies” to collect information and improve their services. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies and know when a cookie is being sent to your device. If you choose to refuse our cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of this Service.

We may employ third-party companies and individuals due to the following reasons:

  • To facilitate our Service

To perform Service-related services; or To assist us in analyzing how our Service is used. We want to inform users of this Service that these third parties have access to your Personal Information.
